Your duties |
- Design and fabrication of precision assemblies, fixtures and components for state of the art optics fab
- 3D CAD design in SolidWorks
- Detailing the drawings according to TRUMPF standard
- Drawing management in SAP
- Ordering, qualification of vendors (as a support function to full-time designers)
- Assembly, test and optimization
• Plan, carry out, analyze and document experiments on laser optics
- Support Optical Coating and Ultra Precision Machining Engineers in their daily work

Experiences and Education |
The ideal applicant would have a strong background in Mechanical Engineering and should be used to working with CAD systems (e.g. SolidWorks). LabView Programming skills are a plus. Experimental or theoretical knowledge in optics is helpful but not required.
Strong design background / apprenticeship in precision metal shop is a plus. Good communication skills and creativity are essential.
Analytic skills and thoroughness required. |
